Hi, I'm Vanessa. And I believe we can do better.

Growing up should feel good. It should feel supported, celebrated, and kind. But for so many girls - and mums - the journey of finding that first bra is still awkward, confusing, and honestly, a little disappointing.

I started Hippie Chicks after a shopping trip with my own daughter left us both feeling deflated. Nothing had changed since I was her age. So I decided to change it myself—to build a brand that doesn’t just sell bras, but offers real companionship, comfort, and confidence. A brand that says, in every stitch and every word: "We've got you."

It all started here

From a mum's frustration to changing lives of girls.
2019

The Spark

Vanessa and her daughter India left a department store empty-handed and disheartened. The bras were boring, poorly made, and the experience felt embarassingly shocking. Vanessa decided: This has to change.
2020

The Creation

Vanessa began her hunt for the best fabrics and manufacturers. It took 18 months of searching, designing, sampling. She had never learnt so much about fabrics in her life!
2021

The Launch

The first Hippie Chicks collection launched online. Each order was packed with a handwritten note, with Vanessa's direct contact. The mission was clear: make every girl feel supported, and every mum feel understood.
